Head Brewer

Gingerbug is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced culinary and/or brewing individual to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity to help build the Gingerbug brand, as we bring our wild fermented sodas nationwide. We are a mission-driven company and the position calls for individual with a great attitude, a passion for fermentation, and a keen interest in health/wellness.

We are looking for an individual who is meticulous in the kitchen, and who is would enjoy the challenging of working with a live, fermented product.

Working closely with Director of Administration and CEO, the successful candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years culinary and/or brewing experience

  • a strong understanding of fermentation principles

  • the ability to lead, manage and motivate the beverage production team

  • strong problem solving skills

  • the ability to manage and troubleshoot production and/or quality issues

  • the organizational skills to manage inventory of ingredients, product, and samples

  • the ability to ensure accuracy and efficiency in production

  • the ability to complete medium physical work, lifting to 50 lbs. occasionally

  • the discipline adhere to all site safety regulations and rules, and enforce them on a consistent basis with the production team

Kitchen Manager

Gingerbug is looking an individual with culinary experience and a great attitude to join its brewing team. The position is suited to someone who takes pride in managing an organized, clean, and efficient kitchen, and who works well in team environment. Some understanding of fermentation is an asset, but not required.

Working closely with Head Brewer and the CEO, the successful candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years culinary experience

  • the ability to manage and troubleshoot production and/or quality issues

  • a strong desire to maintain an immaculate kitchen and organized working environment

  • the ability to solve problems

  • the organizational skills to manage inventory of ingredients, product, and samples

  • the ability to ensure accuracy and efficiency in production

  • the ability to complete medium physical work, lifting to 50 lbs. occasionally

  • the discipline adhere to all site safety regulations and rules, and enforce them on a consistent basis with the production team
